Queenstown High Country Honey

Harvested in 2019

From The Beautiful Queenstown High Country

Our beehives are far away from the town, it tooks us more than two hours drive from the highway to the farthest site of our beehives. If we are lucky enough, we can see the wild dear on the way.

It is a cold place that the bees produce honey only in summer, the harvest really depends on the weather. The quantity of honey can be a huge different if we got some decent rain.

The Flower Source

The honey bees collect a variety of flowers in the mountain, including Clover, some of the New Zealand's native plants like Matagouri, some flowers from mint family like Wild Marjoram(also called Oregano in some countries), which creates this honey with a unique flavor and a wonderful fragrance.

The Taste

Beautiful floral taste, some batches has slightly sweet pine and citrus flavors.
